It was a bit chilly, but the sun was shining and the cars were rolling on through.
The 21st annual United Way BC North Okanagan drive-thru breakfast was another success, raising more than $21,000 (unofficial total) at the Prestige Vernon Lodge.
People were able to get a breakfast bag filled with goodies, coupons and surprises from local businesses in return for a donation to the United Way BC.
The fundraiser, presented by Total Restoration Services, is usually held in the fall but organizers decided to try out a spring event this year.
The money raised will help out local programs, including Food Hubs, that support seniors, kids and families across the North Okanagan.
Local dignitaries, members of the Vernon Vipers, RCMP and Brian and Rebecca from Beach Radio were among those on hand for the event.
Vernon Matters has reached out to the United Way to get the official amount that was raised.
