Vernon’s Windsor Plywood has been a trusted source of advice and high quality building products for decades at 4317 – 31st Street.

One of the first things you notice when entering the store is that you are promptly greeted by a staff member.

Long-time customers consider many of the ten staff to be friends, in part because there is very little staff turn-over, so they see a familiar face when visiting. Manager Stefanie Tessman started at the store right out of high school 25-years ago.

“We all really enjoy helping our customers, we have a lot of long-time staff members here and we are happy to help,” Tessman said.

Windsor Plywood is more than a local building supply company, and the business model is also very different. Most of the locations are family affairs,independently locally owned and operated, not top-down like most franchise groups.

“Exotic woods, live edge products, we sell products to homeowners, do-it-yourselfers, renovators, builders, designers, craftsmen,contractors,wood turners, hobbyists,and carvers,” Tessman said.
