Accused doctor using chaperone for female patients
A watchdog agency says a Vernon chiropractor accused of sexual assault, has been using a third person in the room while treating female patients, since the charges surfaced.
The College of Chiropractors of B.C. told Vernon Matters, it is investigating a complaint against Dr. Murray Kievit that was received on Dec. 11, 2021.
“On Jan. 27, 2022, Dr. Kievit voluntarily entered into an undertaking with the College to not engage in consultation with, or examination or treatment of, any female patient unless there is a chaperone present throughout that consultation, examination or treatment”, Michelle Da Roza, registrar, said.
