Multi-family development for Vernon neighborhood

There is more, much needed multi-family housing coming on the Vernon market.

Sixteen new townhomes are being marketed for sale at 1609 43rd Avenue in the city’s Harwood area, across from Vernon Mobile Home Park and adjacent to Vernon Springs.

The development called “Newton Townhomes” received zoning, variance and environmental approvals from the City of Vernon in November 2022.

There is currently one single detached dwelling located on the property planned for demolition to allow for redevelopment.

The plans are to construct a 16-unit townhouse complex consisting of four, four-plex buildings, including two, three and four bedroom units, with parking for two vehicles.

The units range in size from just over 1,200 square feet to over 1,700 square feet.

Pricing was not disclosed.
