COVID-19 outbreak at North Okanagan Hospice House
Interior Health has declared a COVID-19 outbreak at the North Okanagan Hospice Society in Vernon.
The health authority said the outbreak was identified Thursday, Dec. 15, and affects the entire hospice facility.
IH has confirmed with Vernon Matters that four people are infected in this outbreak. No hospitalizations or deaths have been linked to the outbreak as of time of publication.
Measures have been put in place to prevent further spread of the disease including not limiting visits under a modified visitor protocol and enhanced infection control.
