The COVID-19 outbreak at Vernon’s Polson Specialized Care Unit resulted in one death.
Interior Health told Vernon Matters the outbreak resulted in 12 cases, one hospitalization and one death.
The health authority did not provide any additional information related to the death, such as the individual’s age or health.
On Sept. 9, the outbreak was declared at the unit within the Polson Care Home in Vernon. The outbreak was declared over on Sept. 17.
