COVID-19 outbreak at Polson Special Care Unit

A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at the Polson Special Care Unit in Vernon.

Interior Health states the outbreak at the health centre located in the Polson Care Home was first declared on Friday, Sept. 9.

The entire centre, which houses five specialized long-term care beds for geriatric patients, is affected.

Interior Health did not state whether the outbreak was affecting the Polson Care Home or the Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
