Rollover crash in Vernon

A crash in Vernon’s north end left one vehicle flipped on its side and another in a nearby parking lot.

Vernon Fire Rescue was dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on 48th Avenue in front of the Village Green Shopping Centre around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 8.

“Upon arrival, firefighters found one vehicle rolled over on its side in the middle of the road and the second vehicle in a parking lot across the street. The occupant of the flipped vehicle was self-extricating as crews arrived,” Christy Poirier, city communications manager, told Vernon Matters.

Poirier said traffic flow was able to be maintained with single lane in both directions as crews attended to those involved in the crash.
