Lumby municipal offices to be expanded
The village of Lumby is going to direct some of the $700,000 it received in COVID-19 recovery funds toward making the village office more functional.
Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) services which are headquartered in the village offices have been moved into the former council chambers.
“ICBC and our regular work was kind of getting mixed together the way it was. This will provide better service for both village business and ICBC,” Mayor Kevin Acton told Vernon Matters.
A new addition to the building will include an expanded council chamber.
