Changes on way for BC Transit routes

Apr 19, 2022 | 3:30 PM

A service upgrade has been announced for BC Transit’s route between Vernon and the UBCO campus in Kelowna.

Starting May 2, 2022, Route 90, as it’s called on the Vernon Regional Transit system, will keep schedules the same over the spring, summer and fall months.

“BC Transit works hard to ensure that service matches ridership needs. These changes will help provide better service and greater accessibility on the route 90 UBCO/Vernon for transit users across the region,” stated a news release from BC Transit.

Route 60 Enderby/Vernon will see some minor changes in Armstrong which will also take effect on May 2.

“Within Armstrong, buses will shift from Wright Street on to Okanagan Street. This routing change was supported through the public engagement process conducted as part of the recently completed North Okanagan Transit Future Action Plan,” BC Transit explained.

A detailed preview schedule for the route 90 Vernon/UBCO and the route 60 Enderby/Vernon are available now to allow for trip planning.
