Vipers end regular season with lopsided win over Smoke Eaters

The Vernon Vipers tuned up for the BCHL playoffs by routing the Trail Smoke Eaters 10-3 in the Vipers final regular season game on Wednesday night.
Shorthanded goals 17 seconds apart in the first period by Cam MacDonald and Matt Culling put the Vipers out of reach before a crowd of 1,790 hockey fans at Kal Tire Place.
MacDonald was named the first star with two goals and two assists while Luke Pakulak also netted a pair.
The Vipers finished the regular campaign with a record of 27-20-4-3 for 61 points, in sixth place in the Interior Division.
