Vipers held to 10 shots in loss to Spruce Kings

The Vernon Vipers only managed 10 shots on net in falling 5-1 to the hometown Prince George Spruce Kings Friday night in the BC Hockley League.

The Vipers got on the board first on a goal from Ryan Shostak six minutes into the contest, but the Kings rebounded with one goal in the second period and four more in the third for the convincing win in a possible first round playoff preview

John Herrington of Hudson Hope B.C. led the timber team with 2 goals and 2 assists as PG scored three goals on 12 power play opportunities.

Ethan David was peppered with 43 shots in the Vipers net before a crowd of 1,043 at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.
