Second straight shutout for Vipers: 9-0 over Merritt

Luke Buss had a hat trick and one assist to pace the Vernon Vipers to a 9-0 win over the Merritt Centennials on Friday night.

Roan Clarke made 22 saves for the team’s second straight shutout and fifth of the BCHL season.

Jack Glen added two goals for Vernon in their only game of the weekend.

Attendance at the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena was 342 as the hometown team fell to 3-38-2-1, last in the 18-team Junior A league.

The Vipers improved to 23-17-4-3 and in sixth place in the Interior Division.
