Vees build on BCHL lead with win over Vipers

Stefano Bottini scored twice and Kaeden Lane was perfect in net as the BCHL-leading Penticton Vees blanked the Vernon Vipers 4-0 in a Sunday afternoon contest at Kal Tire Place.
Lane, a Burnaby product, turned aside 19 shots for the shutout while Bottini, from Lugano Switzerland, was named first star with the two goals.
Roan Clarke took the loss with 24 saves before 1,757 fans.
The first place Vees are now 36-7-0-2 on the season while the 6th place Snakes fell to 21-17-4-3 and next play Wednesday, March 2, at home to Prince George.
