UPDATE: Vipers continue their hot streak with two wins in PG

Another win for the Vernon Vipers, and another one in extra time.

The Vipers made it six straight wins with a 2-1 victory in overtime over the Prince George Spruce Kings Saturday night. It was Vernon’s fifth straight victory in extra time.

Reagan Milburn got the winner 4:08 into the first overtime while Nick Kent scored for Vernon in regulation time.

Roan Clarke made 29 saves for the Vipers in net, with Nick Rheaume the only Spruce King to beat him.

Attendance at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena in North Central B.C. was 766.

The Vipers play the fourth of seven straight road game in Trail against the Smoke Eaters Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.

In other junior hockey action, the Princeton Posse edged the North Okanagan Knights 5-4 in overtime Friday in the KIJHL with the two teams playing again Tuesday in Princeton.

In the WHL, the Kelowna Rockets swept their games with the Vancouver Giants by scores of 6-0 and 3-1, extending their win streak to six games.

The Vernon Vipers won their fifth straight game, 3-2 in a shootout over the Prince George Spruce Kings.

A COVID sellout of 1,000 fans came out for the game at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena Friday night.

Luke Pakulak and Matt Culling scored for Vernon in regulation time with Kolton Cousins and Rowan Miller replying for PG.

For the fourth straight game, the Vipers went into extra time, and goals from Zack Tonelli and Cam MacDonald in the shootout won it for the visitors.
