Vipers cruise to lopsided win over Centennials

The Vernon Vipers came off a 12-day layoff by feasting on the Merritt Centennials with a 9-1 win Friday night at Kal Tire Place.
Eight different players had multi-point games for Vernon including Max Borovinskiy with two goals while Roan Clarke made 24 saves before a crowd of 1,192 fans.
Merritt’s only goal came from Drew Dornan on their first shot of the game, 64 seconds in.
The Vipers, who are 8th in the Interior Conference, improved to 8-14-3-3 and next play Wed, Jan. 19 at home to the Trail Smoke Eaters.
