Update on COVID outbreak at Vernon care facilities

Two assisted-living facilities in Vernon are dealing with COVID-19 outbreaks.

Interior Health says one is at The Hamlets on 29th Avenue on the long-term care floors while the other is at Heritage Square on 27th Street, the first floor of the long-term care area.

Interior Health tells Vernon Matters there are five cases at The Hamlets: three residents and two staff.

The count isn’t available yet at Heritage Square.
