Red-hot Warriors defeat Vipers in BCHL

The Vernon Vipers ran into a hot opponent Saturday night, losing 5-1 to the West Kelowna Warriors at Royal Lepage Place.

It was the Warriors seventh straight win and improved their record to 11 and 2 in their first 13 games.

Damon Jugnauth scored two goals for the Warriors who lead the BCHL with 22 points.

Reagan Milburn scored Vernon’s lone goal as the Vipers fell to 4-5-3-2, 7th in the Interior Division.

The Vipers next play Wednesday, Nov. 17, when they host the Salmon Arm Silverbacks at 7:00 p.m.

In the KIJHL, the Revelstoke Grizzlies blanked the North Okanagan Knights 3-0 at the Enderby Arena Saturday night.

Jozef Kuchaslo made 20 saves for the shutout before 130 fans.

in the WHL, the Kelowna Rockets completed their weekend trip up to Prince George with their second consecutive win over the Cougars, blanking Prince George 3-0 at the Sandman Centre on Saturday night.

Rockets netminder Colby Knight made 21 saves to pick up his first career WHL shutout and third win of the season. Twenty-year-old defenceman Jake Lee continued his dominant play as of late, picking up assists on the Rockets first two goals en route to earning first star honours.
