Vipers squander lead, fall to Sbacks in OT

The Vernon Vipers built up a 4-1 lead but ended up losing 5-4 in overtime to the Salmon Arm Silverbacks Wednesday night in the BC Hockey League.

A crowd of 667 took in the game at the Shaw Centre.

JoJoTanaka Campbell led Vernon with a goal and two assists while Zack Tonelli was named the second star with one goal.

Noah Serdachny scored the winner for the home town team, 4:55 in the first overtime on a power play and Simon Tassy added two goals.

The Vipers host the Wenatchee Wild for back to back games Friday at Saturday at Kal Tire Place.
