Vipers end BCHL preseason with first win

It took them six games, but the Vernon Vipers got their first win of the BC Hockey League preseason, 4-1 over the West Kelowna Warriors Saturday night at Kal Tire Place.

Kamloops native Reagan Milburn scored two goals in the Viper win in the team’s final exhibition game.

Zack Tonelli and Luke Buss added singles for Vernon while Roan Clarke made 28 saves for the win in net.

The Warriors edged the Vipers 5-4 Friday night in West Kelowna.

The Vipers play 7 of their first 9 regular season games on road starting in Penticton against the Vees Friday Oct. 8 at 7:00 p.m. Listen for the pre game show on 107.5 Beach Radio/Vernon Matters with Graham Turnbull at 6:45 p.m.
