Order lifted in parts of RDNO

Evacuation order lifted for Irish Creek Road properties

The Regional District of North Okanagan has rescinded an evacuation order for the west side of Irish Creek Road.

All homes in the rescinded area, which are within Electoral Area ‘B,’ are now considered safe and not at immediate risk of the fire. However, they do remain under an evacuation alert.

The following 20 addresses along the west side of Irish Creek Road, which are not within the Okanagan Indian Band IR #1, impacted by this change are:

257, 259, 280, 300, 304, 306, 396, 424, 570, 576, 590, 610, 614, 620, 640, 644, 664, 668, and 678 of Irish Creek Road.

The RDNO reminds residents that an evacuation order may be reimposed if the fire spread once again puts people at risk.
