Interior Health says it’s monitoring potential impacts to health-care facilities due to the White Rock Lake fire, currently burning west of Vernon.
The health agency says planning for the potential relocation of care-home residents and community-based clients in the Vernon and Armstrong areas is underway as a precaution.
“No community-based relocations have been required at this time,” said a news release from IH.
It says the Vernon Jubilee Hospital remains open, but patients in intensive care and those with complex needs are being proactively relocated to ensure continuity of care.
