BCHL releases 2021-22 regular season schedule

The BC Hockey League (BCHL) released its full 54-game schedule today for the 2021-22 regular season.

The season is set to begin on Friday, Oct. 8 and will conclude on Sunday, Mar. 20.

“We are excited to turn the page and get back to competing for a Fred Page Cup in 2021-22,” said BCHL Deputy Commissioner Steven Cocker. “With our schedule now out, players as well as fans will have the opportunity to look ahead to key dates and get excited for our 60th Anniversary season.”

The Vernon Vipers will open their season Friday Oct. 8 against the Penticton Vees at the South Okanagan Events Centre, and will host the Salmon Arm Silverbacks for their home opener Saturday Oct. 16. The Vipers will play six of their first seven games on the road.

Key dates:

Sep. 17 – Opening of BCHL training camps
Oct. 20-24 – BCHL Showcase
Feb. 19-20 – BCHL Road Show
Mar. 25 – BCHL Playoffs begin

The league will provide further details on the Showcase and Road Show events at a later date, as well as more information regarding the league’s plans to celebrate its 60th Anniversary season.
