NANAIMO — A stolen boat was found adrift off the shores of south Nanaimo after being stripped for parts.

Nanaimo RCMP say the boat, a 15-foot Hourston Glasscraft runabout, was stolen from the Nanaimo harbour on May 13. It was found two days later drifting near the Centre St. shoreline.

The boat was stripped of all accessories in the two days it was missing.

Notable items missing include a VHP radio and a blue canvas cover.

Anyone with information about the boat theft is urged to call Nanaimo RCMP.
