Downtown street closure still up in the air
A proposal to close two blocks of 30th Avenue on weekends for the spring and summer has been delayed two weeks.
Coun. Dalvir Nahal, who initially brought forward the idea, was not able to attend Monday’s council meeting in person, prompting a motion to defer the matter.
Members of council were downtown talking to various business owners about the idea.
Coun. Akbal Mund talked to just about all of the businesses in the two blocks, and found strong support in the 2900 block, but not in the 3000 block.
