Vernon expands its electric vehicle fleet

The City of Vernon is continuing to convert its vehicle fleet to more electric vehicles.

Fleet services is replacing a 2007 mid sized gas power truck, used by the parks department supervisor, to a fully electric Chevrolet Bolt. The vehicle purchased from Bannister GM offers a 418 kilometre range.

The city’s electric fleet now has three fully electric cars, one fully electric side by side ATV and six E-Bikes.

Fleet Services plans to purchase a fully electric, full size electrician’s service van as another replacement later this year
