Vipers serve up a dud against Warriors

Apr 12, 2021 | 3:22 PM

After a great start, the Vernon Vipers have fallen on hard times in the BCHL’s pod season.

The Snakes dropped their third straight game on Monday afternoon (two losses and OT loss) 5-1 in game number of 6 of their 20 game season.

Cartie Wilkie and Cameron Hicklin both netted two goals for the Warriors (3-2-1-0).

At one point in the third period, Vipers coach Jason McKee had five defencemen on the ice, seemingly sending a message about his displeasure with his team.

Luke Pakulak scored Vernon’s lone goal at 16:39 of the final period.

The Vipers (3-2-1-0) next play Wednesday against their other pod cohort, the Salmon Arm Silverbacks, for a 1 p.m. game, 12:55 pre-game show on 107.5 Beach Radio.
