Batten down the hatches – Environment Canada warning
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the North, Central and South Okanagan as a spring storm bears down on the region.
Following Saturday’s beautiful spring like weather, the change will be dramatic over the next 24 hours.
A storm system will bring strong winds to the southwest interior. Gusty southwesterly winds will continue throughout the day, with wind gusts reaching 60 to 70 km/h at times.
By late Sunday, a strong cold front will begin to move through the area and bring a blast of cold northwesterly winds. Wind gusts of 60 to 80 km/h can be expected in some locations. Please refer to your local public forecast for more details.
