Street sweeping and pothole repairs underway in Vernon
The City of Vernon is Takin’ It To The Streets.
The annual street sweeping program has been launched with city crews cleaning up the road grit that has accumulated over the winter.
The specialized vehicles will be sweeping seven days a week throughout the day for the next four to six weeks.
“The program consists of daily road and sidewalk sweeping and flushing in low level areas, moving to higher levels. Two to three passes will be made by sweepers to remove debris, dirt and dust, with flushing equipment making the final pass,” Christy Poirier, the city’s communications manager, said.
