Update: Mental health awareness fundraiser gains momentum

Update:  A fundraiser being put on by local restaurant delivery service Driver Dispatcher this Saturday Jan 30, for Canadian Mental Health Association Vernon is already off to a great start.

“I would like to say thank you to my following friends for reaching out to me to make donations for our fundraiser tomorrow for CMHA Vernon.”

“Joanna Chan – $200, Alvin VanderDeen from Ace Mechanical – $100, Aaron Luprypa from Aaron Luprypa – Real Estate Representative Sutton Group Lakefront Realty will donate $2 for every delivery Driver Dispatcher does on Saturday, Kelly Lacroix from Midtown Bistro will donate $5 from every delivery order Midtown has on Saturday, Tanya Wisse and Eric from Station BBQ will donate $5 from every delivery order Station BBQ has on Saturday.  If you would like to contribute to this important cause, please reach out to me. Really appreciate everyone’s support! Organizer On Ouchs said in a Facebook update.

Five dollars from every delivery that Driver Dispatcher completes this Saturday, Jan 30, 2021, will go to the cause.

“We feel it is important to raise awareness of mental illness in these trying times and after,” On Ouchs, Rice Box owner, said. “We also want to remember all the local small business owners. Ordering from the restaurant directly keeps more money in the pockets of our local community members as they try to weather this storm. We hope to have everyone’s support this Saturday to help our local businesses and CMHA Vernon.”
