Part of Vernon street closed for sewer upgrade

The City of Vernon will be conducting sanitary sewer upgrades on 34th Street, between 42nd and 43rd Avenues, starting this Wednesday (Jan. 20).
That part of 34th Street will be temporarily closed to through traffic, but open to local traffic, until the project is completed on Jan. 29.
“Some delays should be expected for motorists in the area. Every effort will be made to minimize disruptions,” a city news release stated.
