Interior Health is reporting two COVID-19 exposure incidents at Hillview Elementary in Vernon Jan. 4 and 5.

That’s in addition to the two exposures at W.L. Seaton Secondary, as detailed below, also on Jan. 4 and 5.

Jan. 8 story

A Vernon secondary school has sent an email home to families advising of a COVID-19 exposure.

W.L. Seaton Secondary said on Friday, members of its school community tested positive for the virus and are self-isolating at home.

The exposure was on Jan. 4 and 5.

“We are supporting Interior Health as they undertake contact tracing to determine if any other members of our school community were in contact with the people who tested positive for COVID-19,” said Jeff Huggins, principal.

Seaton Secondary has had one other previous exposure incident.

The health authority is performing contact tracing.
