A former Vernon Viper has returned to the organization.

Colton Sparrow will serve in an on-and off-ice development role with the BCHL team.

“We feel Colton’s background as a former player as well as his post secondary training will enable him to bring a wealth of experience to the team,” said Jason McKee, Vipers head coach and GM.

Sparrow, a local product, spent four seasons as a member of the Vipers with two visits to the national championships and two seasons where they missed the playoffs.

“I’ve seen the highs and the lows and really feel like those experiences will greatly benefit the players,” said Sparrow, 27.

After graduating from junior hockey Sparrow spent two seasons at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks of the NCAA and then two more at the University of Regina.
