After 7-month closure, Vernon Aquatic Centre reopens
It’s been a while, but people are finally back splishing and splashing at the Vernon Aquatic Centre.
The facility that closed down in mid-March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, welcomed the public back on Sunday (October 18).
During the closure, a number of major maintenance projects were completed, including the installation of a new water filtration system.
To maintain a safe environment for visitors and staff, specific steps have been taken to implement COVID-related safety protocols, which the City of Vernon says go above and beyond its previously approved safety plan.
