Warnings issued with weekend snowfall expected for Coquihalla Highway, Okanagan Connector
Drivers are reminded to take extra caution this weekend, with snowfall warnings and weather statements issued for several high elevation roads in the South Thompson.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Coquihalla Highway from Merritt to Kamloops, and Hope to Merritt.
Up to 5cm of wet snow is possible tonight (Oct. 11), and an additional 5 to 10 cm could fall Monday evening.
A series of fast moving frontal systems will move through the southern interior tonight and tomorrow, bringing cooler air which will cause snow levels to fall overnight.
