Autopsy confirms woman found in burned-out vehicle

Human remains found in a burned-out vehicle northwest of Vernon last month have been identified of a 27-year-old woman from Whitehorse.
An autopsy shows Erin Chelsea Borgford was found in a 2014 Nissan Rogue on Sept. 20 on Louis Estates Road, and her death is being treated as a homicide.
Firefighters discovered the remains inside the vehicle after putting out the fire.
No further details about her death are being released, but RCMP are asking anyone with information to come forward.
