A solid rookie campaign has helped a Vernon Vipers forward land a committment at a U.S. Ivy league school.

Cam MacDonald has committed to Dartmouth College located in Hanover, New Hampshire.

MacDonald scored 15 goals with 10 assists in 56 games played for the Vipers in his freshman season. In the playoffs, he notched 5 goals and 4 assists in 5 playoff games against Wenatchee.

“After talking to the coaching staff and learning more about the academic side, I couldn’t be more excited to join the program at Dartmouth,” said MacDonald, an 18-year-old from Surrey B.C.

“It’s extremely gratifying to see a player who works as hard as Cam does, on and off the ice, get rewarded like he has,” commented head coach and GM of the Vipers Jason McKee.

Dartmouth College is an Ivy League research university that has an NCAA Division 1 hockey program that plays its homes games at the Thompson Arena.
