RCMP hosting Emergency Services Showcase

Police dogs, members of the air services unit and other emergency services agencies will converge on Polson Park this Friday to give the public an opportunity to meet local first responders and take part in some fun activities.

“This is our second year hosting the RCMP Emergency Services Showcase and we are thrilled to be adding some great displays from both the RCMP and our partners, such as Vernon Search and Rescue who will perform a winch display,” RCMP Const. Kelly Brett said.

Vernon Fire and Rescue will also be on site to conduct a vehicle extraction demonstration, and the Police Dog Services Unit will conduct a demonstration at 11 a.m.

The event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
