Fire reported — nothing found

Jun 4, 2019 | 2:38 PM

There is no reason to be concerned about a new wildfire in the North Okanagan.

The B.C. Wildfire Service says a small fire was reported north east of Armstrong near Viem Creek today, but crews did an aerial search of the area, and determined there was no fire.

Another fire near Bobby Burns Road northeast of Lumby — first reported last weekend — is being held at just under one hectare.

There are currently nine active fires in the Kamloops Fire Centre and 43 in the province.
