Residents are invited to take in a free screening of the groundbreaking Canadian film ‘The Grizzlies.’

The movie, which is based on a true story, is about Inuit youth in a small Arctic community with a high suicide rate, gaining a powerful sense of pride through the sport of lacrosse.

It will be shown at Head of the Lake Hall at 7 p.m. Thursday May 30.

“We will have actor Ricky Marty-Pahtayken with us as well as Rapper Hyper-T who will sing in Inuktitut and English,” spokesperson Iain Spiers tells Beach Radio News.
