Car crash snarls traffic

Two people were taken to hospital after a car crash snarled traffic along 27 Street and Anderson Way during the afternoon commute on Tuesday.

The crash involved a FortisBC work truck that crashed into a traffic light post.

A beige sedan also sustained significant damage towards the front end of the vehicle.

Traffic was blocked from Anderson Way heading towards the Walmart shopping complex on 58 Avenue.

One lane of traffic was also blocked by crews heading northbound.

Fire, ambulance, police, and city bylaw were called to the crash at approximately 4:30 p.m.

 

The extent of the occupant’s injuries remain unknown.
