Dates Set For Vipers-Spruce Kings Final

The BC Hockey League has finalized the dates for the Fred Page Cup Finals between the Vernon Vipers and Prince George Spruce Kings.

Prince George, who were the runner-up to the Wenatchee Wild in last year’s final, get home ice advantage after finishing the regular season with 84 points, one less than the league leading Chilliwack Chiefs while the Vipers had 63.

Game #1 – Friday April 12th @ PG 7 pm
Game #2 – Saturday April 13th @ PG 7 pm
Game #3 – Tuesday April 16th @ VER 7 pm
Game #4 – Wednesday April 17th @ VER 7 pm
Game #5 – Friday April 19th @ PG 7 pm (if necessary)
Game #6 – Sunday April 21st @ VER 7 pm (if necessary)
Game #7 – Tuesday April 23rd @ PG 7 pm (if necessary)

Tickets for Games 3 and 4 will go on sale Tuesday morning at 9am at the outside box office at Kal Tire Place.

The Vipers are 12-5 in the post season with series wins over Salmon Arm, Trail and Wenatchee, while Prince George is 12-1, defeating Coquitlam, Chilliwack and Victoria.

Vernon junior teams (Vipers, Lakers and Essos) have won 12 BC Hockey League championships, the last one in 2011.

A Prince George team has never won the title.
