Putnam Creek Ready For Skiers, Boarders

Silver Star Resort has enough snow to open the backside of its mountain.

Putnam Creek will open with the annual “ribbon drop” at Bergerstrasse Gate at 8:45 Saturday morning, serviced by the Powder Gulch and Home Run Tee lifts.

Operations Director Brad Baker says they will have an extra 40 runs ready to go, some of them Black Diamond runs with knee deep powder.

“Snow reports this morning indicated that SilverStar received over 12cm of snow in the past 24hours with a total of 124cm snow base in its Alpine Village, the highest snow base for a ski resort in the Okanagan,” says Baker.
