The Heat men’s basketball team would hold off a hard-charging Trinity Western side late in the fourth quarter to earn a thrilling 75-73 win over the Spartans Friday at the Langley Events Centre.
With his 20 point performance on the evening, Aldrich Berrios would pass former Heat player Mitch Goodwin for the most points ever in Heat men’s basketball history
UBCO’s Philip Okanlawon led the Heat with a double-double, earning 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Triston Matthews also picked up a double-double, with 13 points and 10 boards.
These two teams will be back on the court tonight at the Langley Events Center, with tip-off slated for 7 p.m.
