Vipers Shutout in Penticton

The Vernon Vipers came up on the wrong side of a 3-0 shutout in Penticton, Friday night.

Head Coach Mark Ferner was frustrated with the performance of his team. In a short post game interview he said “Plain and simple … we weren’t good. We’ve got guys who are not making an impact on the game whatsoever … they’re not helping the cause.”

Vipers went 0 for 3 on the power play with only 13 shots on goal for the entire 60 minutes. Vees were 2 for 7 on the power play with 33 shots on goal.

The back end of the ‘home and home’ series is 6pm Saturday as the Vipers look to redeem themselves in front of the hometown crowd at Kal Tire Place.

 

In the KIJHL, the North Okanagan Knights defeated the Creston Valley Thunder Cats, 5-3, at Nor Val Centre in Armstrong. Knights are home to the Summerland Steam Saturday night.
