Vipers Tame Wild In Shut Out Victory

In front of a crowd 2000 strong, the Vernon Vipers shut out the Wenatchee Wild Friday night at Kal Tire Place. Goals in the 2-0 victory came from Connor Marritt – even strength – and a power play goal from Jack Judson – who also picked up an assist, and the game’s first star. Bar lev wise, Latta, and  Fuller picked up assists.

In a post game interview, Head Coach Mark Ferner, praised his team for a great effort and solid performance, drawing attention to the “things that don’t show up on the score sheet” including having the “best fans in the league.”

 

 

Vipers are back in action Saturday night, hosting the Merritt Centennials at Kal Tire Place. Game time is 6pm.

 

In KIJHL action, the North Okanagan Knights lost to the Kimberley Dynamiters 5-3, Friday night at Nor Val Centre in Armstrong. The Knights next game is October 5th, at home, against the Creston Valley Thunder Cats.
