Best In Sports Honoured

The 25th annual Tim Hortons North Okanagan Sports awards will be handed out tonight at Lakers Clubhouse on Cummins Road in Vernon’s Okanagan Landing.

Awards for top athlete, team, and leadership will be presented starting at 6 pm.

Last year’s winners were cross country runner Hannah Bennison as top athlete, the VSS Panthers football team for team of year, and Ian Gibson for leadership.

The awards are chosen by a community panel that includes chairman Jack Gilroy, Funtastic founder John Topping, Dan Currie of Tim Hortons and media representatives.
