2018 Leo’s Breakfast in a Box!

Today your Beach Radio Events Crew was on location at the Old Canadian Tire parking lot for the Annual Leo’s Breakfast in a Box Drive Through fundraiser! The fundraiser kicked off early this morning just before 7am. For a minimum $5 donation your breakfast included: pancakes, sausages, Tim Hortons coffee, and a Sunrype juice box. All of the food was prepared fresh on location. Customers were able to receive their breakfast hot off the grill without having to leave their vehicles. The Leo’s also supplied tables and chairs for customers who wanted to sit and enjoy their breakfast in the sun. Armstrong Regional Cooperative was on location handing out some goodies as well. KidSport was collecting donations and filling coffee cups all morning. KidSport wanted to give a shoutout to Watkin Motors Ford and Helmut’s Sausage Kitchen for buying breakfast for all of their employees in an effort to help raise funds. KidSport’s mission is to remove the financial barriers that prevent some children from playing organized sports. All proceeds from this event stay in your local KidSport. In just three short hours over 200 breakfasts were sold and over $1300 was raised for KidSport. We were on location playing music and handing out tattoos. In addition the RCMP Volunteers were on location helping coordinate traffic. It was a privilege to be a part of such a well organized event fundraising money for a great cause.
