19th Annual Cycle for Independence

May 6, 2018 | 1:13 PM

Today your Beach Radio Events Crew was at the 19th annual Cycle for Independence! The Beach Radio Tent was stocked with SunRype, fresh fruit, and lanyards! Participants had the option to choose from the 12km Family Route, the 18.5 km Fun Ride or the 42km Crank-Hammer! Molly from the Beach Radio crew participated in the Crank-Hammer ride. Riders collected pledges for the event in efforts to raise money. The ride started from the People’s Place and continued throughout Coldstream. What a beautiful Okanagan day! Upon their return, cyclists were greeted with pizza from Uncle Dave’s and massages from OVCMT. This year was another huge success, raising $3750 for Independent living! Thank you to all the sponsors, participants, and volunteers that make this event possible! The organizers are already planning to make next years event bigger and better, be ready to mark your calendars. The crew was honoured to be a part of a fundraising event for such a great cause.
