Vernon’s Marshall Field has been a busy place this afternoon.

It’s the site of the School District’s first cross country run of the season, called the Paddlewheel Push Off.

Primary students are running just under a kilometre, followed by a 1.3 k race for grade 6 and 7’s, which started at 3 pm.

The District says up to one thousand kids and others have been at the site, creating lots of traffic.

Motorists in that area are asked to drive with caution.
